SteamFest won the 20011 Tasmanian Community Achievements Awards Prime Super - Events and Tourism Award

Check out the new Shed!

If you didn’t get to SteamFest and didn’t get to see our great new Shed, you can come any Steam Train ride weekend (1st weekend every month) when the Shed will be open for visitors to inspect it.

The Shed was constructed with very valuable funding support from the Tasmanian Community Fund for the kit, and   generous financial support from Supersteel during actual construction.

The new shed houses some larger machinery

During SteamFest the Shed gave undercover protection for many stallholders and we expect growing use in future years.  In the meantime, it will house some of the larger machinery that previously needed to be taken to and from SteamFest every year.
