1. October 30th 1993 the first sod was turned on the site at the corner of Main and Spring Streets, Sheffield

2. The dismantling of the Lilydale Second River Tramway provided some of the tracks that were laid.

3. Getting ready for the station

4. Old Sheffield station being moved in two halves

5. Official opening day, November 19th 1993

6. Boxing Day 1993 saw the start of the track being laid

7. Early 1994 at the Sheffield Station

8. February 1994 the Krauss engine arrives

9. February 1994 the Rolling Stock arrives.

12. March 1994 the first SteamFest was held.

13. September 1994 the Society was given an 115 year old house
